 Whole Home Heating

Many people choose a wood burning fireplace for the ambiance it adds to their space. The roar of the fire, the crackling of the wood engulfed with flames, the earthy reminiscent smell, and the warmth it provides not only to our homes, but to our hearts.

Ignite the fire within.

So how does Whole Home Heating Work? Using B-vent piping you can remote duct and vent your heated air to other areas of your home; our in-line blower option allows you to vent heated air upstairs or downstairs. Another option is to connect your remote ducting system to your cool air return and use your furnace fan to evenly distribute heat to your entire home and help eliminate cold spots.

What about heating your domestic water? Acucraft’s Water Loop can be added to your fireplace and allows you to heat your domestic water, and can also be used for radiant in-floor heating systems! Whether you’re looking to heat your garage floor or add a radiant system to your driveway to help with snow and ice removal, our Water Loop is the option for you. How does it work? There’s a small pump controlled through a thermostat which starts circulating the water when your firebox becomes heated, providing supplemental heat for your water. Both the in-line blower for Whole Home Heating and the Water Loop can be connected to a thermostat mounted below the firebox, so when your firebox heats up it automatically turns on your in-line blower and water pump.

Acucraft's Patent-Pending Glass Cooling System

                           Acucraft’s Patent-Pending Glass Cooling System

Our Patent-Pending Glass Cooling System uses outside air for combustion while simultaneously pulling heated air from around the fireplace and venting it back into your space or outside through our Heat Relief System.

5. Acucraft’s Patented Airshield System: average glass temperature of 105°F*

Acucraft Patented Air Shield System

                                                                Acucraft Patented Airshield System

Our Patented Airshield System is designed to keep the outer pane of glass cool by drawing cool air from the room through the bottom and expelling heated air through the top. This system can reduce the temperature of your glass by as much as 100°F; keeping the glass cool while still providing heat to your room.

*Glass temperatures vary based on flame height and size of viewing area.

SAFETY. At Acucraft safety is always a priority; all of our custom gas fireplaces have four safety checkpoints that need to be met before the fireplace will ignite:

  • Safety step 1: when the control system is turned on it sends a signal to the Automatic Draft System which opens the damper.
  • Safety step 2: the exhaust fan engages.
  • Safety step 3: the proven draft is proven.
  • Safety step 4: the gas valve opens signaling the spark ignition. The flame sensor proves combustion.

If any of these steps fail, the entire process starts over and an error message is sent to the control box.

In addition to the above safety features, every one of Acucraft’s Custom Gas Fireplaces is internally tested to meet & exceed ANSI standards before being shipped to the customer.
