Mark joined Acucraft in late 2015 as a Fireplace Advisor. He came to Acucraft with over 35 years in sales, and 15+ years in the Geothermal industry! With his technical knowledge and exceptional customer services skills, Mark has the ability to work with all types of customers. From homeowners to architects, on wood fireplace projects, custom gas fireplaces, and outdoor fire features.
His favorite part about Acucraft? “I enjoy the people I work with and the daily challenges of staying organized while working on several fireplace projects at once.”
He’s a tinkerer at heart, loves fixing and repairing things around the house, and improving performance on items he already has. Which makes him a perfect fit at Acucraft! He loves solving problems and finding a way to make your dream fireplace a reality.
When Mark’s not finding fireplace solutions for customers you’ll most likely find him camping, riding his mountain bike or carving wood! He also enjoys sewing and designing his own camping gear, woodworking and metal fabrication – – he’s always working on something!
If you’re into suspense thrillers or action movies and classic southern rock, then Mark is the perfect fit for you!
We are grateful to have Mark as part of the Acucraft Family and look forward to many more years together!

Modern & Luxurious Gas Fireplaces
Two twin gas fireplaces add to the contemporary open floor plan of this gorgeous multi-million dollar home in Ross, CA.
Being able to solve problems for our customers and find the perfect fire solution for their space is every Fireplace Advisor’s goal, and part of our initial discovery phase with all of our customers.
Mike, one of our fireplace experts, has had the opportunity to work with a group of developers on more than one occasion. In this instance, Lowell Strauss (Amalfi West) came to Acucraft in summer 2016 looking for 2 custom gas fireplaces for a new project they were breaking ground on.
“Looking forward to working with you again on this exciting project!” –Lowell Strauss
Working one-on-one with Lowell, his architect David Kotzebue, and their residential builder Jeff Reuvekamp (Reuvekamp Residential Builders Inc.) Mike was able to find the perfect twin fireplaces for this new construction home.
They really wanted both fireplaces to be identical as they would be back-to-back, one inside and one outside. But, they were dealing with a limited amount of space for the fireplaces and needed to ensure they had space for a pocket door to go between the fireplaces.
Fireplace Designer, Adam, was able to design two identical fireplaces for the project keeping within the tight constraints the project had and maintaining the quality, safety & performance of the fireplaces. The interior fireplace was sealed with glass while the exterior fireplace was completely open. Both fireplaces boasted the tallest flames on the market and added the perfect focal point to this already beautiful home.

“My favorite part about Acucraft is the uniqueness. One moment I could be working with a homeowner on their wood burning fireplace and the next could be a large commercial project with multiple unique fireplaces. No two days are ever the same!”
