Residential Construction Project Manager

Position Overview – Residential Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects with frequent travel between Minneapolis and Brainerd, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders, contractors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of residential construction remodel projects, including site preparation, construction, inspections, and closeout.
- Lead, manage and conduct meetings with sub-contractors to determine timeline, permits needed and set expectations.
- Provide management and support to sub-contractors to keep the job moving and ensure timelines are met.
- Keep all parties informed and address issues promptly.
- Evaluate progress and consistently communicate to stakeholders and other contractors regarding project status.
- Oversee multiple projects at one time.
- Schedule all necessary inspections
- Attend pre-bid meetings and walk-throughs
- Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services
- Manage project budgets.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, proposals, change orders, and other relevant documentation
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Stay informed about industry trends, construction technology advancements, and regulatory changes to improve estimating processes and accuracy
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Travel involved between Twin Cities and Brainerd, MN with overnight hotel stays.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry
- Experience in construction estimating is a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry, blueprints, building permits, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, and project management principles
- PMP Certification is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check
- A valid driver’s license
- A high-level understanding of field takes offs and estimating
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to details with an emphasis placed on quality
- Clear, accurate, and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated abilities in planning, problem-solving, and decision making
- Able to manage multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
- Must be a team player, have a positive attitude and a good work ethic
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Pay: $75,000 – $90,000 annually
